Newfoundland Portraits

November 5 - November 22, 2009

In 2008 heather had the opportunity to travel to Newfoundland and stay at David Blackwood's studio in Wesleyville. She explored much of the Northern areas of the province and was moved a great deal by the people who live there as much as by the idyllic landscape. The two are woven tightly together and her aim with these paintings is to convey that special connection.
